Chinese Commemorative Coins

    My friend sent me some pictures of coins he's interested in. Please respond if you know the history and value of these coins.
    We found similar sets online. We believe this set is different from
    the sets we saw online.
    Will try to get better pictures.

    "The coin set is dated online as 1965. Jan’s family moved
    to Taiwan in 1965 and stayed until 1967. Her father was a high
    ranking Air force Officer involved in “Free China” /Taiwan military
    relations with the US. The coins were gift from the man listed on
    the dedication inside who was the Commander of combined forces
    of the Taiwan military.
    I am attaching some extra photos. If you look closely you will see what looks like a red toothpick. It was in the box and I think part of the gift.
    You can see the coins are in a special presentation box."
