Need help IDing these three Chinese coins/tokens that I found while cleaning my coin locker. Thanks :smile
They are kind of lucky charms imitating the type of Qing dynasty coinage. And they are made in quite recent years. So technically, they are not coins/tokens. The four characters on the obverse mean a longing for treasure and money.
If it helps any, the first obverse would need to be rotated clockwise a quarter turn, and the reverse rotated 180 degrees for the correct orientation. Real cash except for the last couple issues were cast not struck. Since your coins are struck, if they don't match the few issues that the Chinese struck you know is a reproduction/charm. These are still pretty popular for crafts and decorations, and as such don't feel bad about them being reproduced since maybe it will save the real coins for collectors.
Thanks medoraman for the orientation info I believe my tokens are cast and not stuck as the surface is not smooth and metal is uneven at the edges. A Chinese collector attributed these tokens as Feng Shui coins that are usually hanged in wind chimes or the likes to bring wealth or good luck . I usually don't collect oriental coins and so how they ended up in my hoard is still a mystery.
