You have a somewhat baffling piece.

The 1936 date on the reverse matches the Republic of China Year 25 on the obverse, but I can't find anything in the catalogs matching the design.

The large symbol in the center of the obverse can be translated variously as "flat", "calm", or "peace".

The large Chinese character (ping) in the middle of the obverse side, in this case, means "equal to" which is related to the two Chinese characters (shi mei) written vertically on the reverse side which translates as "ten coins".

You may view specimens of this coin at various sites in China including this link and this link.

Comments at these sites indicate that the coin is a "modern fake" with "no collector value".

One message says that it can be bought from vendors which display their items on mats on the ground for about 5 yuan (approximately US $0.75).
