Meng Chiang / Mengjiang was a Japanese puppet state in China. My understanding of Chinese geography is not the best but the current location is around Inner Mongolia. While there are plenty of banknotes issued, there is only one common issued coin, which is the 5 jiao stuck in copper nickel. https://www.omnicoin.com/coins/983771.jpg There are other aluminum issues (1 fen, 5 fen and 1 jiao) which are supposed to be common issues however for unknown reasons are extremely rare. Some catalog call this white metal but I believe this is struck in zinc. I wouldn't say it's rare but they do not appear in the market often. Maybe you have the rarer version?
