Well, I did it. I finally did it. I found myself an affordable Majorian that's in decent shape, good shape, even, it turns out, with the whole coin revealed & in-hand! Identifiable to a single RIC number (RIC X: 2645) by what's on-flan on either the reverse or obverse, though only the Re was visible in the listing pic. Really quite pleased with myself, to be perfectly honest. Doing a jig on air. It was in with a junk lot of 39 coins, aquired for €50, shipped with other lots I was determined to win anyway. I have a backlog of coins I want to post (I'm in the process, STILL somehow, of moving, & have time for little else), but this just arrived today &, after opening it & looking, I'm too happy not to share.
Definitely an official issue, too, not a Barbarous imitation.

Part of the pile in the listing pic, relevant coin in center.

To say it, the mint mark of MD was the giveaway. Only Majorian has that Victory type, or ANY Vict, in AE from Milan. The Ob leg ending in ...PER AVG is unique to a single Majorian RIC number as well (I think, my books are still boxed up, so I'm working with memory here). Just quick phone pics with a shaking-with-excitement hand; coin is more "there" or "solid" in hand. Listing pic gets the color & earthen fills better. Really happy with it, at any price. And potentially free if I sell a few others from the lot. Could even make a little, were I inclined; there's a few other nicer gems in there that are doubles for me.

Lucky! I would love to have a coin of Majorian, but the post-Valentinian III "shadow emperors" are super rare.
