Check this penny out. Anyone seen one like this? Value?

    Kind of looks like a very thin Bezel surrounding it.

    I think that's where the rims were worn or ground down, exposing the zinc beneath.

    That too.. I'm like waking up and my eyes are still trying to focus :wacky:

    I also think the OP is showing 2 different coins but that's just MHO

    Other than being harshly and abrasively cleaned it looks like a normal cent. The color makes me think it may have had the copper plating removed and the the abrasive cleaning was to remove the roughness left from the removal.

    I agree with all the above -
    the copper plating has been removed,
    and there are other issues too.

    If you mean the edge is not the same thickness all the way around, look at a bunch of other cents (or other denominations) and you will see that this is perfectly normal and common.
