Here are most of the coins that make up my Dansco 7070. Hope you like the way these are displayed. These are auto-generated based on your coin database in Coinnection. gbrokes Dansco 7070 Here is that awesome set of Roosevelt Toners that flyers10 was lucky enough to score. Nice! LOVE that Merc, and the 67 JFK toning! Gorgeous! I was looking at my 7070 today and thinking about 'what next'.
I just can't afford the last few I need right now, in the condition I want. So I will patiently wait!
Very interesting presentation. Excellent if many/most of your coins are raw. I have my type set loaded as a NGC Registry Set so all of them are slabbed. That doesn't mean I couldn't present them in the same fashion as yours, but that would be redundant. As for the Dansco 7070, I find that it is somewhat limited. It omits designs that I consider significant. For instance, where you have one SLQ, I have three. But that's the nice thing about type sets. You get to make your own definition of what is "complete". Anyway, well done.
I am not sure what you mean. These are the actual coins from my physical Dansco 7070 with Gold page added. It is incomplete, there should be type 1 SLQ, Trade dollar, 3 more half dimes, etc. I cannot customize it. And they are all raw. Exactly, this is what the software generates. The only difference is yours would show the TPG and grade.
What I mean is that you are dealing with what Dansco has decided is a type set. If you look at the NGC Registry type set you will see a larger listing. And if you look at the PCGS Registry type set you will see yet another listing. Each of these organizations has come up with their definition of what a "complete" type set is composed of ... and they are all different. That's why I said that the contents of a type set is flexible. You can use the one you want. Or make your own definition of a type set different from any of them. You get to make the call. Let's see if I can get my NGC type set banner working (I have trouble with this sometimes). http://coins.www.collectors-society.com/registry/coins/MySets_Listing.aspx?PeopleSetID=57236 Well, I can't get the banner to show, but the link is live.
Oh, I understand now. I also have an old blue whitman type set for small coins. which has more then twice as many of the small coin types then the Dansco does. Including the very rare early coins. I started with that one but quickly figured out i didn't have over 100k to complete it Your set is very nice. I see how they incorporate types for certain coins. Awesome kanga.
I was really hoping to get more responses on how the coins are displayed. I am not really looking for responses on the coins. Wondering if it was smooth for the viewer and if there were any issues with the presentation. So...bump.
NICE SET! I like the display too. However, it left me wanting to see the coins more up close and personal and I could not find an option to have the image fill the screen. -LTB
Since I have my coins in a Registry Set, they have to remain slabbed. So I can't use any of the normal albums (Dansco, Whitman, etc.) I have all mine in Eagle Certified Coins albums. Actually not quite true. Most of mine are in a safe deposit box at a local bank.
I like the way your display looks. Like Louie said it would be great to be able to click and enlarge the images. Cant wait to see the finished product.
I like it. Would have been nice if there was a "play" button so that the coins can be displayed in a slideshow.
