Likely. That's a total weight of 2.3 oz and the bid is up to $3500. That seems kinda heavy to me. They don't specify any grades. So figure them as bullion. IMHO

 

Yes, they very well could be real. They appear to be stacks of modern US American Gold Eagles of the $5 denomination, which is one-tenth ounce gold each. Therefore, there would be 2.3 ounces of gold here if this is correct.

 

I was intrigued by the number of them. 23 If they were 23 different years ? Well. It was just a thought. LOL

 

They might be, or they could be a mix of years, or even a successive set, who knows?
