Won this on ebay. I don't think I did too badly either. I can't believe how unclipped it is. I don't think I've ever seen a hammered shilling with such an intact flan...

I still don't think I've done badly. I'd have paid a lot more for this coin if I'd bought it from a dealer. I'm certain of that...

I agree, I don't think you did bad at all, Prestonianus. Mine (also from eBay), has more detail but also a scratch, and I paid more.....
I compensated for that when I got the scarcer side-facing bust in decent shape, and for less money.

I like your's a lot more than Frank's recent shilling. It is highly unusual, as you already recognize, to find them well centered, well struck, unclipped, and round. You got a great price for it, I think (what is that in US bucks these days?)

 

Of the top of my head, about $180, I think....
