I was looking for cheap and secure mailing for low cost ebay items and came up with these IMG_0005.JPG

The cost is low - $6 for 100 pieces from Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/Quality-Park-64117-Redi-Strip-Economy/dp/B000Q61REQ) and the required postage is reasonable, First Class 70 cents for one ounce (49 cants postage plus 21 cents non-machinable) or another 21 cents for each additional ounce (3.5 ounces maximum). This makes mailing one small item just 76 cents. They are first class and get handled by hand so there's less chance of them getting caught up in the machinery.

The only drawbacks are that you can't use pre-printed labels through ebay/paypal as their cheapest is somewhere around $3. And there is no tracking available.

But for a sub-$5 item it's an easier sale to charge $1 rather than $3.50.
