Would anyone know about the Charlton Canadian Coin Catalogue? I don't think this compendium of Canadian numismatics is in print any longer. I am wondering where somebody could find an old issue, preferably from later in its publishing run?
I have the 18th edition (2000) of Coins of Canada by Haxby and Willey that has a usable section on Breton Tokens, so my guess is that other yearly volumes would have Bretons. I prefer Charleton's Standard Catalog of Canadian Colonial Tokens. Mine is the 3rd edition from 1995 but I still use it. Maybe that can give you some additional references to check.
Here's coin and canada web site . Just click on the tokens and medals link . http://coinsandcanada.com/
Another Question for you all: Look at these canadian token catalog numbers: FSK-NLOO2 VEG-002 VEG-003 EDM-036 If any of you have a Charlton Vol. 2, would you know if they use these same catalogue numbers?
I have about 150 diff colonial BRETON tokens, most of which were put together in the 90's. I've never seen the catalog numbers you've referenced. My Charlton 3rd edition 1995 Canadian Colonial Tokens, lists NL as "Non-Local Tokens of Canada, 1924" in the Intro, under Cross Reference Numbers. That's the best I can do for you. Good luck
