change find

    well found this rather well used 1976 Canada 1 cent in change yesterday which where i'm at we don't get many non US coins in change

    I get them occasionally here in Kentucky. When I worked in retail I'd buy out all the Canadian and world coins. The Canadian was luckily repatriated every couple years when my brother in law went to visit his mother in Canada. It's was usually enough for a subway ride or two! Not sure what happens to the cents since they were discontinued. Can they still be spent or deposited in Canadian banks?

    doubt they can be used anymore but still makes for a interesting add on to my collection

    They just round to the next nickel up here for cash, except credit cards are charged the pennies.

    abilene tx is where i'm at and around here not many non US coins are seen so getting one in change is unusual
