    A few coins from the country that is now called Sri Lanka, these were issued under British rule :D

    you need to cut the little leggs off, but then maybe rolling coins woud be harder to catch :D

    either way - keep them coin pics coming!

    I just got a new coin from Ceylon that I have been wanting, if you dont mind I will post it here and not start another Ceylon thread...

    Interesting thing about this coin...besides the fact that the photo simply doesnt do its beautiful design justice. The coin was minted for the 2500 anniversary of Buddhism. something like 500,000 were minted but around 250,000 were melted down. I think its a very nice coin. The only thing I dont like about the coin is the 2500 that seems a bit drab compared to the elaborate design of the rest of the coin.
