I bought this coin at the Naugatuck CT coin show yesterday. I'd appreciate everyone’s grading opinion. It has not been cleaned and has the normal darker color/gunk down in all the little nooks & crannies. Please let me know what you think of the coin & grade.

    Very best regards,

I probably couldn't give a better idea of the grade than you yourself can, but I like the look of the coin, good example. Looks like you're getting a collection together of this design.

I also like the look of the coin. It looks like it should look for a coin that was circulated in 1850. I suspect that if the darker debris were removed (by simple water etc), then the coin would loose some of its character & basically not look so nice.

I don't see them often but I'm always looking for them. This one was found in a dealer's 3-ring amongst pages of $1 to $10 coins.

I have a numerical grade in my head of VF35. Do you think that is about right?

    Very best regards,

That is a nice coin, and from what my catalogue says, one of the scarcer dates of the type. Well done.
I would love to get one, but these come up very seldom if at all in my part of the world.
I would agree with the grade of VF, may be a little higher.
