Cent with a die break.

    Hi all, though I would post a picture of this 1993 Lincoln cent with a die break between the columns on the very far left. I found this cent in circulation a few years ago. Hope you can see the die break ok, still practicing taking pictures with my new camara. Feel free to comment.

    Very nice interior die break. It's not a "cud", as a cud, by definition, carries away the rim and at least a little bit of the field.

    enthusiast, the cent that you have may be a result of the copper not adhering properly to the zinc core. In other words air bubbles. There's no extra value to those coins.

    zinc is a pretty weak material . You could probly get the same results by puting a cent on your oven. It starts melting in less than 5 minutes

    I agree that it appears to be a severe case of blistered plating.
