I have an obscure Peru coin question. peru ayacucho 1882 5 pesetas: http://static.flickr.com/120/300361261_8988cad3cd_b.jpg Was this coin minted in the province of Ayacucho, or Lima, or elsewhere ? If it was minted in Ayacucho, does anyone have the street address of where the mint was previously located? I am assuming it was somewhere in Huamanga, possibly a municipal building? Similarly, anyone have the address of the previous Cuzco mint ? I have visited the Casa de Moneda in Lima, which was interesting, and would like to take some photos/video of the Ayacucho and Cuzco mint, when/if I make it there in the future, and can find the address. I'll be very surprised if anyone actually know this information... Thanks, M.
Yes it is from the Ayacucho mint. You can find addresses and phone numbers for many of the mints of the world - Right Here The ones you are asking about are not there, but that is the best listing I know of for them. Your best bet to locate the info you want may be to contact the Casa De Moneda in Peru and ask them.
