    Bought these 2 items on eBay and Künker auctions:

    a Tunisia banknote showing general Hannibal Barkas (247-183 BC) with behind him the harbour build in a circle with boathouses for the Carthagian warships.(Next to it was another harbour for the commercial trade ships)
    on the backside 3 Carthago ships.

    a copper coin with Tanit and a horse and palmtree from Hannibal's period:

    That is one beautiful banknote of Tunisia's greatest son. Think I need to get one.

    That is a GREAT note depicting the rebuilding of the Carthage Harbor! I think their building those Naval and Commercial harbors were one of the things that freaked the Romans out, precipitating later into the 3rd Punic War.

    Hmmm, I see a 'family' resemblance between my photo and the one on the 'note'...;)

    LOVE the posts!!! I'm still after siver but they always seem to go for more than I can swing at the time...
