with this guy on Coinbug. I hate to trash people, but I don't want anyone to get ripped. His name is Quality Coins, and is a really nice guy actually. Only thing is is he overgrades his Lincolns, most of them I've seen are overgraded. XF's actaully VF, AU's XF's, etc. He's a nice guy, but if you buy the wrong coin, you can lose quite a bit of money, with some coins having a good distance in price with each grade. He's nice to deal with, but like said, I don't know where he got his grading standards. :( So, I'm not good at this, lol, but be careful whenever buying a coin, LEARN TO GRADE THAT COIN AND SERIES, it can save you a lot of money. Best of luck to you guys. :thumb:

I've bought from QC a couple of times. Smooth transactions. You'll be just fine buying from QC, or anyone else for that matter, if you like the coin and the price. Grades are just claims that anyone can make.

It was a very smooth transaction, don't get me wrong, only thing I had a problem with was the grading. Nice coin, and I think I got what I paid for, but there are some other coins that aren't the grade that's being said, and sometimes there can be a good price difference between a VF and an XF. Otherwise, it was a very pleasant experience. :thumb:

If you say he is actually a nice guy then his problem is possilby the ill used terminology used in this hobby. Note from the start back in the 40's when the first Red Book came out. A coin that you could hardly tell what it was, was stated as GOOD. As long as you could tell it was a cent, could read the date and mint mark, it was supposed to be GOOD. I suspect this is rather maintained to our present way of thinking. Fine means anything from GOOD to Uncirculated and even Uncirculted could show wear. Us older people that remember those good old days just guess at what ever we want. He may be just as old as me and just doesn't want to get involved with all the AU's, EF's, MS's, etc.

Yes I have noticed the overgrading. I just avoided this seller. But now that it has been pointed out I will agree.
