    Caracalla Denarius. 209 AD, 1.8g, 19mm

OBV: ANTONINVS PIVS AVG, Laureate head right.

REV: LIBERTAS AVG, Libertas standing left holding pileus & sceptre.

    REF: RIC 161, RSC 143, Sear (RCV 2000) 6817

This is a reshoot of an old coin I've had for sometime, maybe last year. I got this coin for about $8 average in a lot.

This is the old scanner photo.

Post those Caracalla coins if you have any.

    Still at it Gil?

Well, I have one nasty damaged denarius and one youthful one of Caracalla, I will post....

In addition, I found (or rediscovered) a few old uncleaned coins I had later cleaned that I think are provincials of Caracalla---of course, they are a bit low grade and difficult to 'read'...You be the judge: DSCF0366.JPG DSCF0367.JPG DSCF0368.JPG DSCF0370.JPG DSCF0371.JPG DSCF0373.JPG DSCF0374.JPG DSCF0375.JPG
