With all the wear this coin shows and the lack of soilage on it, I would assume it has been thoroughly cleaned. $115 - $125. I have to admit I am sceptical of this site and their asking prices. I have seen many flawed pieces advertised with full retail values attached.

I buy from this seller quite a bit. Their prices are usually pretty good, atleast imo. Pictures sometimes lack details about the coin but not like other sellers on ebay.

Just from my experience with them, I bet their price on this coin isnt too bad.

It's not a case where every coin they show is a problem. But there are enough problem coins to make me leary. If he can purchase it in the price range I suggested, he should do it.

I would pay $110 max, but I'm cheap.

I accidentally bid on this coin for 295 but I think that's a bit high. Wanted to check here before I request a cancel

    That's a $400+ coin assuming it hasn't been cleaned.
It appears to be a Browning 6 (R-3).

The market is so weak for these. You can win a certified XF for well under $295 if you wait for a no reserve eBay auction. People list them for that buy-it-now in VF for $300+, but they never sell. At auction VF coins go for $200 just barely.

    I think it's actually a B-5, R-2 since it has the 1831/1 obverse. I think B-5 and B-6 share a reverse, though.

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

The coin has been dipped/cleaned and is starting to retone. I do not like the look of this one. I would grade it VF+

$295 is a really strong price for this coin.

This is an 1/1831/1 Large letters B5 R-3. Grade-wise it's a VF35, but looks cleaned. For a VF35 details I don't think it's worth more than $125. If it's just the photos and it hasn't been cleaned, then in the low $200s. VF35 is about as nice as you can get before they command the big premiums.
