Latest addition to my classic commemorative collection. There is something about this issue that thrills me to no end, Not quite sure of the reverse....contemporary girl pictured with an Indian chief. Art deco for the time. Quite honestly the obverse Eagle grabs me exceedingly..........

Not a big fan of Arkansas from the one time I was there, but I do like the reverse on that coin too!

Interesting Comm. but you never see many advertised, just must not have been very popular.

I can see why you like this Commem.so much Ken...IT'S BEAUTIFUL! The rendition of the eagle is one of my favorites too. Congrats on a great pickup.

Not so fond of the eagle side; could be due to the big "feathered feet" (not sure whether that is an ornithologically correct term :) ) or just the many different design elements on that side. The reverse I like much better. Yes, that is not a 19c style Liberty, but a somewhat more modern one. Perfectly appropriate for a commem designed and issued in the 1930s ...
