Can't identify gold/silver coins (carolingian?)

    I have two coins, one gold and one silver. They're both the same and look like they're replicas because they're perfectly round. I can't figure out what they are though. I can't even read it other than CRΛTIΛ DI REX or something similar on one side. No idea what the other side says. I made a picture of the gold one:

    Anyone know what it could be?

    Definitely looks like reproductions of 9-10th century western European coins, like the Carolinginians or Saxons, but not my area of expertise sir.

    still could very well be gold and silver. I know some people make replicas of these on various weight blanks in different metals (ex: 1/10oz gold, 1/2 silver, etc)
