I have come across some Canadian quarters from the sixties, and was wondering if due to their increased content of silver, they are worth more money than the actual value of 25 cents.
Thanks to anyone who can help me out with this.

I have a few also. I think up through 1966 they were 80% silver and worth about bullion value or about $1.50 in circulated condition. In 1968 they cut it to 50% silver and they are worth about $0.95. Later in 68 and in 69 they started making them out of nickel and I suspect they aren't worth more than about $.40 each. Of course if they are uncirculated they will be worth more.

My numbers might be out of date.

The Canadian 25¢ contains .15 OZ of siver which at todays price of $9.94 would make it worth about $1.50.In my experience a coin dealer will pay about 4 times face value for Canadian silver coins.

Some silver in 1967 was 80% and some was 50%. In 1968 some were 50%silver and some were nickel. For 25¢ in 1968 the mintages were- silver 71,464,000 - nickel88,686,931. The 1967 mintage figures are not broken down between 80% and 50%.
