Those both commemorated the centennial of Canadian Confederation, and were listed by Krause in the commemorative section, along with many, many other special subject coins.

I want to make it clear that I am not arguing with anyone. I have nothing but respect and admiration for the moderators of this forum.
The $1.00 and 50 cent coins, although they seldom did, were intended as circulating coins. In 1967 all the coins had reverse images that represented animal themes and they were unique to that year.I'm pretty sure that the $1.00 and 50 cent coins were not specifically intended to commemorate the Centennial of Confederation and if they were the same would be true of all the coins for that year.
As I said - I'm not arguing with anyone, just trying to give a Canadian perspective on Canadian coins.

I don't see anything argumentative about your posts, Bill.

I think we're lucky to have a Canadian coin specializer here on this forum.

    Keep up the good work.
