CANADIAN PENNY DOUBLED DIE HELP

    Hello, I came across this 1964 Canadian penny and it seems like it has a doubled die but I can’t see it anywhere on any website and I don’t know a whole lot about Canadian coins. Let me know your thoughts.

    Have it checked by your local coin dealer, if they believe it is real send it to PCGS or NGC for verification.

    PCGS and NGC have set lists of which varieties they will attribute. They will not always attribute doubled dies, particularly foreign.

    I would contact the RCNA to see if they could recommend a Canadian dealer that may have info. ICCS in Toronto may verify and grade it.

    Anything that needs that much magnification is not worth it.
    The 4 in the date looks damaged. Nothing to even consider attributing by any TPG :yack:

    It does in fact appear to be a doubled die, though that is in relation to US coins. I dont know how Canada mints their coins differently than the US if at all.
