found in mother's jewellry box after she passed away - Canadian one cent piece 1876 - several other Canadian one cent pieces - from early 1900s - how do i find out value, if any
welcome to the forum. Sorry that I can't help you in your quest, but I know that there are a few here that can.
Like with any coin, the price of your Canadian cents is going to be determined by the rarity of the date and the condition of the coin. Assuming the coins are common and in average circulated condition, they are probably worth about $2 - $4 a piece. Were some in better condition, they could be worth more like $8 - $15. Although it is difficult to provide an exact value without seeing any coin, if you list all of the coins, I am certain one of us can respond with a more concise answer.
Your 1876 ranges from CDN $4.00 to $14.00 VG to EF. If you give me the other dates I can give you values for them as well.
Coins are dated as follows: One cent 1876 w/Queen Victoria head One cent 1907 and one 1909 w/King Edward head One cent 1915, 1916, 1917, and 1918 w/King George head
There are 2 varieties of 1907 one has a small letter H under the date. 1907- $3.00 - $12.00 1907H $13.00-$60.00 1909- $2.50 - $8.00 1915 $1.25 - $5.00 1916-18 $0.75 - $3.00 These values are in $ CDN and are for grades VG - EF. I hope this will help you. Bill
