canadian one cent different dies ?

hi everyone these two pennies are from the same year but it looks like they been struck with different dies ,,,any ideas

Same die (from the same hub and matrix)... in your case, one die was brand new, the other was started to deteriorate.

 

thanks that explains it some just stand out

 

Might be the same die, might be different dies, I'm sure they use hundreds of different dies each year. I would say the die or dies had different amounts of wear.
