i recently read one of the posts ands saw a canadian nickel. it struck my curiosity because i have some of these nickels. i aquired them at an estate sale about 10 years ago. i dug them out after reading the thread and heres what i found. 1927-30, 31, 32, 35-47, 49, 53 and 59. i especially like the 43 it looks like it was minted in bronze? anyway i read that their is a referance book or magazine i believe it is called krause. i would really like to know an approximate worth of these any help would be appreciated. i am not a grader but i would say that these are ef to au. thanx

In some years there was more than one variety so I have chosen the most common one.During the war years nickel was needed for the war effort so other metals were used including an type of brass called tombac. This is the metal in your 1943 example.
