Canadian Nickel error or PMD?

    Hello everyone,

    Could someone tell me if this is post mint damage or not?

    That is post-mint damage, specifically caused by a rolling machine. That's a common misconception with error coins.

    No problem. I was curious, however, did you find that in change recently? I haven't found a Canadian nickel in years. I really like the design.

    I made that exact same mistake, there should be some FAQ with these kind of mistakes in it :)

    first time Ive seen a nickel with that. I usually see lots of quarters with that marking

    I've had that coin collecting dust in my collection for years, i dont recall whether or not I found it in change.

    I agree the beaver design is kickass.

    Yes, we know that. But what caused the circular scratch was an automated rolling machine.
