I've been assembling a Canadian 50c collection in Gardmasters. hya: Generally, the Edward VIIs are VG and George V coins are F; the George VIs are AU or better, and the Elizabeth IIs have been at least MS-60, or Prooflike. I haven't even ventured into the Victorias; too expensive as far as I can tell so far. I'd probably have to settle for some AG or G specimens. Anyway, here are some pics. Still learning on the photography front, so sorry for any glare or shadows. Would love to see other Canadian Halves out there! You better believe the George V's and earlier are pricey. I was told the reason being is because 50 cents back in those days was quite a bit of money for some, so people really couldn't afford to throw their coins in an old coffee can and forget about them. I mean, you can get a MS grade 1935-1939 silver dollar cheaper than its 50 cent counter part. I collect them as well, amongst other Canadians and pretty well target the same grades you got. I especially like the coat of arms on the reverse of the Eddies and newer.
