In my quest to find a 1912 Canada $10 gold (due to my interest in them being made of klondike gold) I had some luck and ran across a small hoard of these coins and got a good deal by buying a larger group of them. The history of them is fascinating and the coins are beautiful. I am selling some of the group I bought because I only wanted one example of each and got the best deal by buying several of each year. The coins and prices are below: 1912- the most scarce of the 3 years and quite difficult to find. I had to scour the internet for several months to find one in UNC. This one is graded MS62 which is normal for the 1912's. Of the hoard that was released, the 1912's were almost all ms63 and below and few graded higher than ms62 or 63. The 1912 $10's sold out within a couple hours I believe. Made from exclusively Klondike gold. I would like to get $1100 for this piece. [SOLD]1913- the second hardest to find of the date range and still a little more difficult to find in ms64. This piece is very nice and a pretty decent and respectable MS64. [SOLD] 1914- This is the most common of the 3 dates and because of this, I cherry picked the nicest 1914's of the group. Canada stopped producing these coins in 1914 because of the start of the first world war so the coin is cool for this reason. This particular coin is MS64 and looks PQ for the grade. The coin actually looks like a MS65 except for a contact mark on the king's jaw line. Looking to get $925 for this piece also.
