Do you have a preference? My Charlton 57th is a little out of date and I'm looking for recommendations one way or the other. Not too concerned about the price. Coins of Canada 27th Edition by J. A. Haxby & R. C. Willey (Spiral-bound) $25 OR Charlton's Standard Catalogue of Canadian Coins 63rd Edition by W. K. Cross (Spiral-bound) $20
Canada values If price is no object buy both plus Krause World Coins. Also pick up a copy of Coin World's Worldwide Coins magazine when it lists Canada coin values. Then compare all four's information & values before purchasing coins. I tend to find a little more information on different coins through multiple price guides.
Canadian Grading company Hi, i 've been purchasing some Canadian silver dollars. What's your opinion of ICCS grading company? I've been buying some of their graded coins.
ICCS is a great grading service but sometimes can a little tough. -- And for the books, Charlton is the best.
Iccs is a great grading company. You save on shipping, they grade tighter then the top 3 in the states, and if you live in Canada you'll be supporting Canadian business. The only reason I don't is if I'm buying a 1500$ coin. I want it sitting behind hard platic locked in place. Not just loosely sitting behind a plastic flip. If they would change their holders I would contrmplate ditching PCGS. But they would have to start up a website too. Pop. Reports?? An iccs forum?? It's really inconveniant not having an iccs website.
