Canadian 1962 double struck in collar, flip strike 1-cent

    This type of coin is uncommon in Canadian coins, and if you exclude the handful of 1-cent coins struck in this fashion in 1969 (back door jobs), then, it is an extremely rare Canadian error.

    I was lucky to find this one recently, in mint state condition. The coin being of a softer metal (98% Cu), the second strike obliterates a lot of the first strike, but, serendipitously, the date is visible on the obverse of the second strike. I like this coin, a lot!!

    Lastly, I am indebted to fellow CoinTalk member, LotsofCoppers - who found, and sold me this coin. It was posted in an older thread here, but as die clashes - so I have decided to post it here with the proper error name. These were his original photos, when he sold me the coin.
