Jhon your top row are British coins the Large ons is a 1d (One Penny) and the smaller are two versions of the Decimal 2p (Two Pence) coins all Queen Elizabeth II, the one on the end is 1/2d (Halfpenny) of King GeorgeV. Below the Two New Pence you have what looks to be a Queen Victoria 1/2d (Halfpenny) and a large Strait Settlements 1c again from the Queen Victoria era, sorry I cant make out the other 2.

Here is a Wiki article on the British Pound Stirling

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_pound

And one on the Strait Settlements

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strait_Settlements

Cheryl yours are all British coins the larger are 1d (One Penny) pre decimal coins and the others are respectivy one new Penny and two new pence coins from the new (At that time) decimal issue, the word new was later dropped from the coins.

    Again check the above link

Ps Cheryl yours have father & daughter on them King George VI and Queen Elizabeth the II

Thanks De Orc, are they anything of any value? or just something to hang on to?
Bottom left pic REV. what I can make out-APOLEON (assuming napoleon) EM????EUR 1853.
Same pic obv. EMPIRE ????AIS ???TIMES (assuming centimes) it has an whatlooks like an eagle with an A under it.
Bottom 2nd from left rev. look like a roman guy sitting down holding a 3 tined spear with a sheild proped against what he is sitting on. HALF PENNY 1863 is what written around the edge.
Same pic obv. a woman with her hair in a bun with a bow hanging underneath. written around the edge VICTORIA D.G. BRITT:REG:F: D: hope these are the two you couldn't make out.

That would be Napoleon III of France :D not worth a fortune shall we say but still a rather nice start to a side collection or two :D The Roman guy is Britannia (A Woman) which makes it British :D and that is Queen Victoria

Well what I can tell you is it was a coin of Edward VII again a British King but the coin could have been from anywhere in the Colonies as it is not very clear, the monograme on the other side is something added at a later date, possibly a keepsake for someone
