Hi and Welcome!:hail: Could your note be "Lawson & Bouey" instead? Knowing the Series date would help. It's either 1954 or 1973. The date is between the signatures. Also, knowing the serial number WITH any leading letters and asterisk is helpful too. Finally, what condition is your $1 in? Wrinkled? Folded? Filthy? Pristine? Condition or GRADE matters. I look forward to your reply, FreezerBurn
thanks for taking the time to chat with me i think you're right it could be bouey my bill has 2 fold lines and is slightly wrinkled but the colors are brillant the date is 1973 serial number is GB9453972 i found this bill in an old book
An interesting and colorful bookmark! I went to the J&M site and found RETAIL prices for $1 similar to yours. These are the prices J&M would charge a customer and are in U.S. Dollars. 1973 $1 Lawson-Bouey, 2 letters VERY FINE - $1.39 EXTREMELY FINE - $1.49 ABOUT UNCIRCULATED - $1.86 UNCIRCULATED - $2.78 A dealer would probably offer you face value for anything below Uncirculated. Hope this helps, FreezerBurn
