Canada 25 cent 1967, a step further

    The Canada 25 cent 'Bobcat' below exhibits a later die state than the usual die chip variety. It has additional chips and what appear to be gouges on the rear left foot and also the tail. Also note the die crack emerging to the right from the foot chip.

    If it was a plated coin, I'd say the plating or outer layer was wearing off. But they are either .500 or ,800 silver. Can't remember seeing anything like that.
