I'm away from any of my coin books, and I've come across a Canadian set from 1967. There is a 1,5,10,25,50 cent,a 1 dollar and then there is a $20 gold colored coin. They are in a presentation case that is about 6x8". Sorry I can't provide any info that would be of use (weight, size, scan). I'm in colorado springs and went down to the ANA (using my new membership that was given to me as a Christmas present!!) and borrowed the 2005 Charlton Standard Catalog of Canadian coins. I've never used this book before, but I can't find any info on this coin in the book. Is this $20 coin gold? Can anyone point me to any info on the web about this? Thanks!
It's a commem - KM #71 - AGW .5288 oz. - struck in .9000 gold - mintage 337,688 Proof examples - Krause value $245. About all I can tell ya
Doug, the $20 gold is the only one of the Canadian 1967 coins that don't have any indication that it is a commemorative. The 1947 South African Royal Visit 5/- crown also has no indication that it is a commemorative, but it is. Aidan.
