    I like all the backs, but the fronts (except the 100) all have the exact same portrait....what's up with that ?

    King George VI.
    The question is why doesn't the 100 have the same portrait. Who is the old guy?

    old guy = Sir John A. MacDonald - Canada's first Prime Minister

    Side note - the 1937 series was the first bilingual banknotes of Canada with both English & French appearing on the bills, prior to 1937 the banknotes were either English only or French only.

    Another note - the colours introduced in this series are still in use today, e.g. - our $5 is still mostly blue, $10 mostly purple, etc.

    It's good to be King...

    I love this series and it is on my acquisition radar. Alas, I've not done enough homework on where the market for these notes is, I'd like to get a set of them in XF if possible, just great notes.
