An elongated coin can also be used for weddings, newborn announcements, baptisms, Jewish Briths, Bar Mitzvahs and memorial coins, commemorating and honoring someone who passed away or an event worth remembering.

Although elongating Cents (Pennies) are the most common, I've elongated Nickels, Dimes, Quarters, Dollars (Ike and golden) as well as foreign coins, such as British Pennies, Half Pence and 2 Pence older coins (the larger ones), Euro-cent coins and many many others, as well as golden (brass) planchets of many sizes.
