This 1975- No mintmark dime (PR67) minted in San Francisco was just sold for $506,250!! Here is the article.... Rare coin hidden in Ohio for decades fetches $500,000 at auction. Have a Great Day!!!
I wonder how many folks are digging out their 1975 proof sets to check. Threads like this are cool. Other examples may be found.
There are many unknowledgeable sellers trying to sell the business strike 1975 as the one that was sold.. really sad! There are hundreds of examples being sold
I like to send sellers like that messages that I will sell them an entire roll of those for $1,000. Funny I never hear back.
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/rare-dime-hidden-decades-ohio-sells-506250-auction/?ftag=CNM-00-10aac3a It made it into my news feed this morning. The article takes a while to state that it's only found in proof sets and as is typical, people just aren't going to "get it." Who needs details when you're going to get rich quick? Multiple threads on this coin already but I'm too lazy to find the other one.
I back up a major road. The past 4 years have turned this 45 mile an hr stretch into a speed zone. Crazy illegal lefts happening over double yellow lines into opposite direction turns. The city has been forced to put a median in because of the reckless driving. There was a big accident last evening. The Police and Emergency had the road coned off. Drivers were still trying to pass the accident in the opposite lanes, instead of following the rules to the road. Trying to cause a head on accident in order to satisfy there needs to get somewhere. My street (tight residential street) turned into a 40 mile an hr thruway. Well somehow I thought this applied to the topic, It's hard to believe that "Mercari" was the most reasonable price that @paddyman98 posted.
