    Hi guys,

I have this one for years, knowing nothing about it:

    It's a ~35mm, 19.46gr.

    Which coin is it?

    Do you think it's authentic?

    Many thanks!

Overse legend is KOPH - COTEIPA K..., typical for Cyzicus. (maybe KOPH CΩTЄIPA KVZIKHNΩN. )

There is a simliar coin for Caracalla:

I have my doubts about authenticity, there's no sharpness

There's some resemblence but they are different:

You already gave me a clue with the legend ("KOPH CΩTЄIPA") however I tried searching on google & acsearch with no positive identification.

I hope someone is familiar with this coin... I really want to know what it is.

To me it looks modern, possibly a tourist copy.

I'm not sure about the authenticity of the the coin shown in the first post. Other than a small flat spot it is almost perfectly circular and that isn't something often seen in these provincials. The devices look weak, as if the coin were made from an impression of a real coin and the impression wasn't very deep.

The obverse may match the following authentic example, and it is known that there were different reverses for this obverse die. Whether this particular reverse is known is something I haven't investigated.

Here's that possible obverse die match on a CNG coin. I fiddled with it in photoshop and the legends and most of Kore matches. There are differences in her chin and neck area.

Thanks @TIF for taking the time to investigate this, I appreciate it.
