I have purchased a number of (tiny) Greek (?) coins and I am unsure about my attribution of this one. I think that it is Phokaia, Ionia c. 521-478 B.C. AR 9.3 mm., 1.01 gm. Obv: Female head left, wearing cap Rev: Quadripartite incuse square. SNG Cop. 389-393 Can you please confirm if I have the attribution correct and if not, can anyone provide the correct one, please?
I have mine listed as Phokaia but have no idea in what that ID was based and even less on the relative dating of the many styles of these. I have mine listed as older based on style but I am far from comfortable with details on the series. I might add that they come in several sizes. At 1g, I'd call it a big one. I have two: Massive 1.31g Tiny 0.15g
