Can you help me to identify this coin/token ?

    It looks like Bukhara but I can't find it in any catalog I know.

    It looks Arabic or middle eastern.

    Yes.....it COULD be Bukhara....but it looks like it is made of brass...probably a token so I think we would need someone who can read arabic !

    A Token From Turkey. Ottoman Style

    Value : 2 Para , Issued for pament for boatmen worked in a service of crossing the Bosphorus strait. One of the few tokens I have is 10 para , made of the same composition (brass ?) . Do not try to find it in Krause.

    Thank you. I've owned several of these for years and always wondered what they were.

    It sounds like it's almost a transportation token.

    It is a ferry token.Someone found one listed on eBay & posted a link to it in the 'World & Ancient Coins' section.
