yes, i also like the 3rd coin. but unexpectedly, the first two spouses sold out just two hours. 33 million dollars worth. it bothers me. there will be four liberty head shown on this series. one on 2007, two on 2008 and the last one on 2010.

The liberty head coins might be a nice "short set" to collect for anyone who doesn't have the resources or desire to buy the whole thing.

I think these will sell out faster than the first two, hope I get my order in on these. I also hope the mint limits them to two UNC and two Proof per household so we get a better chance with these.

why people have to buy so high at e-bay?. it looks like stock market. i never buy anything from outside or coin dealers. except buy direct from the u.s. mint. if i don't get it. so what?. i will buy other mint products.

The only thing that may explain it is with the presidential dollars those collectors may also want the spouse coins. Only time will tell how many can pay for the series but so far some are paying $1000 per coin.

I'd rather have just about anything else.

a lot more for spouse gold coins

about 160,000 pieces of spouse gold coins a year. and many years to come. i don't see i can get some in the future. i don't collect series or set. i just want some 24 k gold coin. forget the buffalo. too many. i will buy the liberty head 1/2 oz spouse gold.

My prediction is that this will be the way to go. I see the four Liberty coins being the ones that many seek out who do not desire to complete the set. Many people that I talk to are considering this route, and are interested in only the Jefferson piece this year. I think the Jefferson will be an immediate sellout and be fetching upwards of $1,500 on ebay within a week.....just my prediciton

kaching kaching i hear the sound of the money at the bank ill buy as much as the mint will aloow me. i need money to pay for coins as expensive as this the only way to do it is to buy the coins and then sell so the one i buy becomes free.

The other Spouse coin I've heard people will probably want/buy is the Dolly Madison one.

IMO there's just too much stuff coming out of the mint. There's no way you can keep up. You have to choose or skip 'em all. I personally do not like the mint because I cannot buy just ONE dead prez coin or ONE Sac dollar. What the bleep am I going to do with a whole roll of the things?

Flop. 99% of the collectors' opinions I have heard are negative - seems like most of the demand is from investors and flippers.

yes, it is true. this is clearly bought by investors and each investor push each other price to its high end. just like stock market. you also have those television channels. now selling coins at a very high price to the general public. they even got a lot of ms-70 coins. in the future, i wonder all the coins will then be at very high price. hopefully, we the small collectors already got those coins which we liked.

It's better looking than the cartoon characters on the other coins.

Do also not like the mint because you can't buy one nickel, dime, cent or quarter?

I've already written off this series. Too much hype. I won't be buying any.
