Since this is my 15,000th post, I will keep it on topic. I don't see a fried egg, but I do see an IHOP waffle. Chris
Don't smell any fried eggs either. In German we use that term (Spiegelei) when referring to a bimetallic coin where the material and color of one part (ring or pill) goes beyond that part. Some extreme examples: http://www.sixbid.com/browse.html?auction=1002&category=20677&lot=943993 http://www.ma-shops.de/fenzl/item.php5?id=12091 I don't see anything like that on the coin from Slovakia, sorry ... I think I might see what you're referring to, but it's hard to see in that photo. The detail is good, but there's too much glare from the lighting. Perhaps you could post another photo.
chrisild that is what i meant this one is similar to the 1st example you gave but as Blaubart said too much glare on the photo I will try to take a better one.
Thanks for the new images - now I can see it too. Not sure whether that is a fried egg, but it sure is an interesting error. See this page where it would be in the "Off-Center Ring Hole" section, I think ... Christian
