    Cracking out coins. Someone had posted a pictoral guide to cracking out coins, but I couldn't find the link through the search function.

    This is something I would be interested in too. I want to be able to break the slab without damaging the coin.

    The proper tool to use is called an "end nipper". It is originally designed to cut metal, I used it to shorten a chain link fence before putting it to use on slabs. here is what mine looks like:

    Just use it around the rim of the slab and it will open right up. Glasses/goggles are recommended.
