How much did you have to pay for S&H?

Did you pay with a credit card?

I think I'll follow my dear departed mother's advice on this one. Since I can't think of anything nice to say, I'll just shut up. :(

Actually, from what I have seen, the prices are going up and I know that the mint is sold out. The seller charged you $1.50 handling charge which is a little high, but not completely outrageous. Are you happy with the purchase? If you are, then you made a good buy. When the mint was selling them, I think they were priced at $12.95. Quite a few on eBay have sold for $30 or more. Seems like it was a pretty good deal to me. :)

    Was it a good deal?

Well, the S&H was unreasonable, but there is more to it than that.
You have no idea of what the coins look like, right?
Modern uncirculated and proof coins, from the Mint, can be pretty disappointing.

Here's the way I feel about it.
The coins could have been purchased for less than 1/3rd of what you paid, so in effect, what you are paying for is the packaging. Now, there is nothing wrong with that, as long as you understand what it is you are buying.

The bottom line is, as long as you are happy with your purchase, then yes, it was a good deal.

i have to say here that the time to ask about the purchase of something if the price is right or not realy should be done before commiting to the purchase not afterwards.

I bought a set from the mint and had to send it back twice because of blemishes on the faces, look at them closely when they come in.
