Can someone ID this 1607 Token / Medal (French )

    I believe this could be French but I have been known to be wrong.

    Its made of br 001.jpg ass and weighs 5.5 grams and is a tad larger than a US Quarter

    dated 1607, quite good detail for its age.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Looks like a Jeton token from that time period. Whether it's an accommodation, gambling or church token is difficult to say as I am not that familiar with them. You can take the letters on either side and run them on google you may get some hits. Nice token! Also, the letters on the obverse look like V's but are more likely U's.

    Yes I already did this, Sorry I should have mentioned the word "Jeton" in my title.

    I neither read Latin or French and I was going around in circles googling, LOL

    I was hoping someone who collects Jetons or who can translate the wording would see it.

    I found this somewhere on the net

    It has the same design on one side as mine.

    I hope mine has the same value .
