I have an opportunity to buy these coins, notice I didn't say great coins. :) I really don't see anything in that great of condition but nonetheless, I'd still like to make an offer so that I can see them in person.

This is a craigslist buy and I've actually gotten some good buys on craigslist. Of course you will run into the occasional lunatic, scuz or idiot but you can usually spot them on the phone. :Dthx

Well, let's start with silver content, which I think I saw 2.5 oz at $14/oz = $35 as a base value. The premium you wish to pay over that will be up to you.

It's not a bad group. I like the seated liberty coinage included in the lot. Quality is average circulated, say, Good. Some are cleaned. So it's not bad as a group just to get some old coins and learn about them. If it were me and I wanted the group, I might go $40 on them.

But I would use this as a starting point just to get some old coins in hand. I would try to find a dealer in your are so you can also look at higher quality coins and learn.

Well thank you for your opinion. I was thinking $40 bucks as well and that's what I was gonna respond with so now that my guess has been validated, I will offer $35. :D
