There are a few things going on here. I see an indent, off-center strike on the Obv, rim crack reverse, crescent shape (PMD?) Or?, some dirt and whatever that nub is Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk
Nice coin . . . I think. As long as the arc-shaped line is not PMD. It might be an incomplete punch, which is a pretty scarce error type, although I suspect not. It's difficult to tell from your images. The coin is not struck off center, as all of the design elements (peripheral lettering, in this case) are contained within the bounds of the planchet (or would have been, were it not for the indent).
Is it just me or does the rim appear as if its splitting away from both sides? Similar to when people make 2 sided coins? Huge elaborate fake? Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk
If it were an Incomplete Punch it would show on both sides of the Cent. I say no. I do see Duel Misaligned Die strike on both sides. Interesting.
Heres the thing I don't see any flattening to the devices. In fact you can see the design elements through the curvature. For some reason I think this is pre strike.
If the crescent, crater/s, and maybe small verticle planchet crack on reverse near the top rim between the T and E of "States" are pre-strike, in what order would the other errors happen? Or... Could the small vertical crack on the rim be caused by the other combined errors creating too much stress? Lastly, is that a strike thru on the Rev too?
